New Canadian RPAS Regulations

Holding a Transport Canada Pilot Certificate for Advanced Operations is now a requirement.

As of June 1, 2019, new Transport Canada regulations will apply to all RPAS/UAV/Drone operations in Canadian airspace. All existing S.F.O.C.’s have expired.

GoneFlying Photography and Media pilots have obtained the new Advanced Pilot Certificates mandatory for UAV/Drone operations within Canadian Airspace.

Message to Clients:

A very important point to consider as a client of an aerial photography company's commitment to you, is that, no matter what insurance policy the photography company is carrying, it is considered VOID without an accompanying “Transport Canada approved Pilot Certificate for Advanced Operations”.
Leaving ANY insurable incidents/accidents that may occur on your project to be basically, ...UN-covered.

Copyright and Image Usage

Under traditional copyright principles, the photographer owns the copyright for the picture(s)/video(s) taken by the photographer. Even if the photographer provides the negatives to a third party, there is no automatic authorisation to make additional copies of the photograph (media) unless the permission of the photographer has been obtained separately. This is also true of digital cameras, where a file is sent to the client. In each instance, it is necessary to evaluate who owns the copyright for the photograph (media) and what is needed to allow the client to use that photograph (media) without infringing the copyright owner's rights.

All images, content and functionality on this website and found on our social media feeds are owned by Christopher Cryne and Goneflying Photography and Media and protected under International Copyright Law. Any unauthorised usage in any form is copyright infringement and will be dealt with, with prompt legal action.

All photographs are available for print and image licensing. If you require any images for use in publications whether digital or print, you can request permission via this website's Contact Page.

Please note we strictly do not provide images for commercial use free of charge. We will only consider not-for-profit organisations to use our photographs free of charge.
